The best recovery food

The best foods for recovery. In this post I will introduce you to the #1 recovery food I use with professional athletes. Better than any supplement on the market when it comes to tissue healing.

The muscle, the joint, or the bone needs some rest to physically repair, so we have to reduce training load. But to physically repair the muscle, the joint, or the bone needs the right biochemical substrates. Just like you cannot build a brick house without bricks, you cannot heal bone without Calcium, Arginine, and Zinc. You cannot heal cartilage in joints without Glucosamine, Hyaluronic Acid, Chondroitin, Collagen, and Gelatin, and you cannot heal muscle/tendon without Collagen, Gelatin, Glutamine, and Zinc.

Now, where can we find all those substances in HIGHLY bioavailable form?

Bone broth!

Just buy 4 pounds of beef bones from your local farm/butcher, add some carrots, celery, onions, garlic, salt, thyme, parsley, a shot of apple cider vinegar, and water. Let it simmer for 24-48 hours and eat/drink it all up within a week for as long as you are on injured reserve.

You can also drink it / eat it while you are healthy and fit to stay healthy and fit. Your muscles, joints, bones are constantly remodelling and a steady supply of nutrients will keep the tissues healthy, strong and injury resilient.

May the FLOW be with you all!
